Deal Types
Every advertiser on our city sites MUST offer some sort of "deal." That's the theme of our website, and that's why shoppers are coming to this website. They are looking for bargains, discounts, special offers, and in general some sort of "deal." Thats YOUR job - to give it to them. If you can offer some type of 'exclusive' offer not found elsewhere for visitors to these city sites, that's all the better!
What kind of deal, exactly, you choose to offer them is totally up to you. We are giving you several examples below, which you can use, or modify, or give something different instead. Realize that whatever deal you select to offer these potential customers will determine whether or not THEY actually want to come to your place of business or not.
Your offer to them does not have to be the deal of the century (although it can be if you like). It should be some sort of offer that is appealing to them. Something that would want to make them actually take time out of their lives and come to your store, or choose to give you their business instead of going to your competitor.
You know your customers better than we do. Think about the types of offers that have worked well for you in the past. Think about the items you offer that your customers want and need. If all else fails, look at what your competitors are offering. Can you match it? Can you give a better offer than they are? What makes your business special or different than your competitor?
Obviously, you don't want to offer something silly or outrageous (most of the time at any rate, unless your business justifies such a promotion). Don't offer something that you have limited quantities of, there's nothing more upsetting to a customer than you saying you have something, when in fact, you do not! That's a good way to alienate customers from repeat visits to your shop! Don't offer a huge discount as a loss-leader type of promotion unless that is your advertising strategy.
Your webpage will have a 'coupon' type box on it. Shoppers can print out this coupon and bring it into your place of business to redeem it. It will state the specific city deals website at the bottom, so you will know that this coupon has come from your webpage on our city website. This is an excellent way to track your advertising to see which offers are working and which ones are not. The specific city is listed at the bottom because some businesses will want to have more than just one webpage (you can have as many webpages on different city sites as you want. See 'Webpage Pricing.')
Alright, here's a few suggestions on the types of offers to use on your webpage:
~ A percentage off. You can specify a minimum order for this, such as 10% off your order of $50 or more.
~ Buy one, get one free. These types of offers always work well depending on the type of business that you have.
~ Free gift! This will drive people to your store! Just make sure you have enough gifts for all of the people that are going to be showing up to claim it!
~ A straight dollar amount off of a certain order. $5 off your $75 purchase.
~ If you have a restaurant, perhaps you could offer "kids eat free" with 2 regular dinner purchases."
~ Where applicable, how about "free delivery."
~ Contractors can offer "free estimates."
Whatever you decide to offer shoppers does not have to be costly to you, it just has to be valuable enough in your customers eyes for them to want to take you up on it. The more appealing your offer, the more customers that will come visit your place of business.
If you are unsure about what you should offer, ask us. We can discuss with you options that may be useful to you and your customers.

webpage HERE on one or more of our city sites. A webpage on one or more
of our city websites should go right along with your other advertising
methods (or it could become the replacement for those other methods!)

"If you think your business can not
afford to have a webpage on one of our city websites, what you really
should be asking yourself is this:
Can I really afford
NOT to have a webpage that advertises for my business?"
If YOU don't tell people about your business - no one else will either!
